Course Overview:

Our color fundamentals class is a five-day program designed to immerse stylists into the world of innovative hair color techniques meticulously designed to elevate their coloring skills. This intensive course marries artistic vision with hands-on technical training, preparing stylists to deliver stunning, trendsetting looks with the utmost confidence. 

Our course covers all aspects of hair coloring, including understanding hair and the color wheel, color application & techniques, highlighting, color correction, balayage and the latest trends. Emphasizing the balance between innovation and practicality, we focus on training our students to create beautiful, fundamental color placements that elevate their client's look while maintaining the integrity of the hair.

Day-by-Day Course Schedule:

Day One: Introduction to Color & Consultation

  • 9:00-11:00: Course introduction, understanding hair, head shape, and placement 
  • 11:00-12:00: An overview of color theory and Consultation
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-4:00: Demo & Hands on mannequin head

Day Two: Short/Medium Length Color Techniques

  • 9:00-11:00: Theory session: Short/Medium color application.
  • 11:00-12:00: Practical session: Color on Live Model
  • 12:00-1:00: Working Lunch 
  • 1:00-3:00: Finish Models
  • 3:00-4:00- Photoshoot & Social Media 

Day Three: Blonding & Long Hair Placement 

  • 9:00-11:00: Blonding Theory and demonstration of placement on long hair
  • 11:00-12:00: Practical session: Color on Live Model
  • 12:00-1:00: Working Lunch 
  • 1:00-4:00: Finish Models

Day Four: Blending Techniques

  • 9:00-11:00: Introduction to Balayage/Foilyage, Air touch, Color Melt 
  • 11:00-12:00: Practical session: Color on live model
  • 12:00-1:00: Working Lunch 
  • 1:00-4:00: Finish ModelsDay Five: Color Correction 
  • 9:00-10:00: Theory & Role Play
  • 10:00-12:00: Practical session: Color correction on live model
  • 12:00-1:00: Working Lunch 
  • 1:00-3:30: Finish Models
  • 3:30-4:00: Course review, Q&A, and certificate distribution.

Assessment:

  • Practical application of hair coloring techniques
  • Client consultation 

Upon completion, students will not only possess a broad understanding of hair coloring techniques but will also be able to confidently consult with clients, recommend suitable color choices, and create beautiful hair color designs that balance creativity with practicality.
