The Plush Academy's Hair Extensions Specialist program is a comprehensive five-day course that takes a deep dive into the world of hair extensions. This course is tailored to equip aspiring stylists with the expertise and knowledge they need to confidently apply, cut, and maintain various types of hair extensions, including clip-in, tape in, i-tip, weft, sew in, and fusion extensions. Our curriculum covers everything from understanding hair types, assessing hair and scalp health, client consultation, mastering hair extension install techniques and creating the perfect blend. We also place a significant focus on the perfect client for each type. Upon completion, students will be able to confidently recommend and apply hair extensions that are best suited for their clients hair type and lifestyle.

Day-by-Day Course Schedule:

Day One: Introduction to Hair Extensions

  • 9:00-11:00: Course introduction, types, color matching, consultation & aftercare
  • 11:00-12:00: Demo on model- Tape ins
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00- 2:00: Hands-on session: Clip in extensions
  • 2:00-4:00: Hands-on session: Tape in hair extensions 

Day Two: Mastering Itip Extensions 

  • 9:00-10:00: Theory/Demo session: Detailed study of itip extensions.
  • 10:00-12:00: Practical session: practice of itips on mannequin head.
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-4:00: Hands-on practice: Apply itips on model.

Day Three: Mastering Sew-In and Weft Extensions

  • 9:00-10:00: Theory/Demo session: Detailed study of sew-in/ weft extensions.
  • 11:00-12:00: Practical session: Demonstration and practice of applying sew-in/weft extensions.
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-4:00: Hands-on practice: Applying sew-in and weft extensions on mannequins

Day Four: Keratin Bond Extensions 

  • 9:00-10:00: Theory/Demo session: Keratin Bonds
  • 10:00-12:00: Practical session: Practice on Mannequins 
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-4:00: Practical Session mannequin 

Day Five: Keratin Bond Practical Assessment 

  • 9:00-10:00: Conducting client consultation on model– understanding needs, recommending suitable extensions, providing proper aftercare 
  • 10:00-12:00: Practical Session: Model
  • 12:00-12:30: Lunch break
  • 12:30-4:00: Practical assessment: Model, Course review, Q&A, and certificate distribution.

By the end of this five-day course, participants will have a strong understanding of various types of hair extensions, their application techniques, and the ability to create appealing, natural-looking styles. They'll be equipped to offer professional extension services, providing expert consultations to clients based on their unique hair needs and preferences
