Program Overview:

We welcome you to the Comprehensive Manicure and Pedicure course at The Plush Academy. This five-day intensive program is specifically designed for individuals passionate about nail care and beauty, focusing on providing them with a deep understanding of the science and art behind manicures and pedicures.

In this course, we explore everything from nail anatomy and hygiene practices to mastering different techniques such as filing, shaping, cuticle care, polish application, and creating nail art designs. By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently provide professional manicure and pedicure services, deliver exceptional client experiences, and stay ahead of nail care trends.

Day-by-Day Course Schedule:

Day One: Introduction to Manicure and Pedicure

  • 9:00-11:00: Course overview, introduction to nail anatomy, and hygiene practices. Understanding various nail types and conditions.
  • 11:00-12:00: Introduction to manicure and pedicure tools and products, their care, and proper usage. Nail Shaping Techniques and cuticle care.
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-4:00: Hands-on session: Practicing basic manicure techniques.

Day Two: Pedicure Techniques & Gel polish

  • 9:00-11:00: Theory: Diseases and disorders of the nail, hand and foot
  • 11:00-12:00: Practical session: Demonstration of pedicure technique using dremmel.
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-4:00: Practical session: Demonstrating and practicing pedicure techniques on model 

Day Three: Consultation, Nail Polish Application and Nail Art Basics

  • 9:00-11:00: Conducting client consultation – understanding needs, recommending services. The art of nail polish application and the basics of nail art.
  • 11:00-12:00: Practical session: Practicing nail polish application and basic nail art designs.
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-4:00: Practical session: Advanced nail art techniques and trends on model.

Day Four: Specialized Manicure and Pedicure Services

  • 9:00-10:00: Theory: Understanding How to treat issues and proper massage techniques
  • 10:00-12:00: Demo and interactive hands on session 
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-4:00: Practical session: Creating French manicure and pedicure with hot stones.

Day Five: Advanced information for Pedicures and Practical Assessment

  • 9:00-11:00: Theory: Concerns for diabetics and FAQ for advanced footcare.
  • 11:00-12:00: Practical role-play: Handling various real-world scenarios.
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break
  • 1:00-3:30: Practical assessment: Performing manicure and pedicure services on a model. 
  • 3:30-4:00: Course review, Q&A, and certificate distribution.
